How big is 9mm to 14mm?
Hi,
I posted this in Lens Focus>wide Angle, but thought it would be appropriate here too. Should I just provide a link here or repost? I posted something similar in 2009, but I accidentally deleted the images from the original thread (links to another site) and so I took some more. The idea was to show the real-world difference in the range from 9-14mm to show the extra coverage you get for your 5mm. These are all E-400 with 4/3 9-18mm.    Especially if you want to "anchor" to one side. My original of this was a bridge over the river: The 14mm could barely get the bridge in, but the 9mm showed the whole bridge and scenic areas to the side. Shame I can't return to that place! I apologise for the distortion - it's no a perfect map as it was (badly) hand-held. Still, it's accurate in the FOV to give the idea.  I hope this is useful to someone. Regards, David.
