Love wet weather photography Mark, atta boy! Great opening shot with the double umbrella, and the atmospherics of the Banff Castle, not seen the like of it before. Would love to be in N. Carolina
as a press 'toger shooting the human story. Press photography was where I began this journey. I'm especially adapted to risking my neck for a good picture. (front line war photography even better!)

H'mmm, though I live nearby, I am not so keen personally. Market is OK if you get there alive through the ever changing traffic schemes, and through the grime on most of the streets. They killed three pedestrians including a police officer on the Kingsway because of counter intuitive road schemes.

And that is despite me and my ex company doing the topo surveys there..

Is mumbles pier still as rickety? I’ve only been the once, about 12 years ago, but half expected to fall through at any moment as we walked along it!!

I am judging at Swansea Camera Club soon but I am not sure how to navigate the one-way system

Re: A wet day in paradise, err...Swanse

I bought some laver bread in the market a few years back. My partner had never tried it, so I offered her a small bit on a teaspoon, She said "mmm". I offered her more and she accepted. When she took a 'proper' mouthful she retched and almost vomited! I laughed and the glutinous substance was stuck round my teeth making them black, which made it worse for her!

I quite like the stuff!

The pier is being renovated as we speak. RNLI have built a new Lifeboat house at the end of the pier, so in a few months it will be spic and span hopefully. But has put an end to Waverly coming to pick up passengers...

I quite like the strong taste but would only nibble it, as it is very strong and salty...Nice in small doses...

Good luck Dave, the camera club is just off the Kingsway I believe, and has a car park at the club I think. Never been I have to say...

What date are you there?
