Monday's Sunset

It was an ever changing sunset on Monday (28th Sept).....after dashing around I found this tree. Not original but I just had to record the moment.
If anything it was more colourful than this.

Re: Monday's Sunset

Fab colours, we had a similar sunset here in Sussex, ironically though I was on my way to a camera club meet so no snaps from me

A nice capture well done.

Re: Monday's Sunset

Fabulous sunset, wll spotted. Just goes to prove that you should keep your camera at all times.

I was watching the sunrise this morning from our kitchen window - within 35 seconds ( I know ... what a sad sod ) the whole scene had changed out of proportion,it was that quick.

Re: Monday's Sunset

Keith - I agree ... a very nice shot with very nice sunset colours

This is the type of shot that sometimes has me wishing the forum had a slightly darker background because I borrowed a copy to look at with a dark background (hope you don't mind - I have deleted it ) and IMO it looked even better

I also flipped it l-r and that helped my eye flow across it

None of which means much as it was a goof picture in the 1st place

Regards
Andy

Re: Monday's Sunset

Thanks again everyone....

KEVIN.....I have to admit to a slight CHEAT.....On most of my sunrise/sunset shots I use the SUNSET SCENE setting on the 510,which are supposed to give VIVID reproduction of the Reds and Yellows, but I have found bring out the Blues as well.......that said I have some control over the exposure ....by exposing to different areas in the scene will really change the outcome.
The settings were F4, 1/60, iso 400 + I used the Cokin Grad P121 soft.

ANDY....thanks for taking the time to mess with it....no Probs with copying one.Funny you should prefer a dark b/g it as I always upload my shots against a black b/g on another site(where I have ALL my shots).

It's @ http://www.ephotozine.com/u52048/p-0

Thanks again to everyone for looking.
Keith

Re: Monday's Sunset

Must admit, I've chosen a black background for my own website.

Re: Monday's Sunset

It's an amazing sky, you were lucky to be close enough to get the tree into the shot, it would have been completely different without it
