Condolences. I had to wait in today for my daughters sofa. Wasted the day as it did not arrive until well after I left............

Re: EM-1 Total Failure - Me too!

I had shutter problems after a rear wheel change, maybe the frame gets misaligned as they changed the whole top plate i think.

follow the link below for the story in another thread that may shed some light and best of luck

Yes indeed! I could have arranged to pick it up from their depot about 12 miles away. I thought of it as soon as I put the phone down. However, we have a decorator coming in on Monday, who will need close supervision, so I decided to leave it as arranged. . .

Re: EM-1 Total Failure - Me too!

The camera arrived today via DHL. I sent it for repair on the 9th November and DHL tried to deliver it on the 17th when I was out, just 8 days to do the repair. Thanks Olympus - very good service.

The repair report shows that the shutter was replaced and tested. Shutter count is now 119.

I am trying to get all the settings back to where I want them. I think I have it done, except for those boxes that pop up when you are in the menu to tell you what the item does.

I managed to turn them off previously, but cannot find how to do it now.

I would appreciate if someone could help with that please.

Re: EM-1 Total Failure - Me too!

Just from memory, and without checking - I think if you press Info while the menu is displayed it toggles those pop-ups on and off.

Glad to hear you have your camera back, here's hoping it behaves now.

Re: EM-1 Total Failure - Me too!

John,

Thanks for that, toggling info did the trick.

There are certainly many things you can set up different ways on this camera, but I stick to default to a great extent. . .
