Re: a flashing Image Stabilizer light

Some details would help. Camera? When does it flash? Any other symptoms?

Welcome to the forum btw, hope you're going to post some shots of Cuba.

Re: a flashing Image Stabilizer light

How kind of you to reply!

My camera is an E-PL1. I haven't used it for a while and was frantic about this flashing light. I kept turning the camera on and off to no avail then spent hours last night reading reviews of simple compacts that I could buy and take instead (I leave for Cuba in 24 hours!) . Then magically just before I went to bed I checked again the stabilizer light had settled down and was not blinking! What a relief! Maybe it was just stuck somewhere and the turning on and off was needed to get it working.

Thanks again.

If may be that the cleaning function had got switched on and took a long time to operate, specially as the camera has not been used for a while. Have a wonderful trip and lets have some pictures soon.

Yes, you are so right. I think I just needed to give it some attention with turning it on and off to get everything working.

When I went to bed last night the icon was not flashing and everything is OK today. What a relief as I was all ready to go out today to get a new camera. Thanks so much for caring!
