Abney Park Cemetery - Stoke Newington

Not a great participant in group events, but after a couple of hours there this morning I should put in a word for Abney Park as a destination for lovers of the funereal and decrepit.

Spectacularly overgrown - with a derelict chapel in the centre (allegedly dangerous condition - usually kept locked - but access is "negotiable").

Website.

Most notable resident seems to be William Booth of the Salvation Army.

Always personally on the lookout for derelict locations - would very much like to know if anyone has the secret of accessing Millenium Mills in Docklands.

That sounds rather wonderful, these old cemeteries have so much to offer because they're packed full of wildlife as well as the memorials.
