How close is the IQ and colors of the E-500 to the E-1?

Re: Image quality

Both have a Kodak sensor so should be similar. Main difference is resolution. I am still pleased with my E500 when I use it.

Re: Image quality

Colors are very similar but the E-1 shows much better behavior at ISO400 and above.

The big difference in MP however may turn someone to E-500 (8MP are very useful if you want to crop the image, especially in Macro and Tele lenses).
Personally, I prefer the E-1 any time.
