Micro 4/3 Hidden Gem? Samyang 135mm F2.0! Test Shots Enclosed

Hi Everyone
First just to say this lens is heavy, literally its just on my limit of usability at the moment weighing in at 965grams! I will probably be limited on use for the next 12-18 months. It is very solid with a really nice build quality. I have literally just taken a few test shots so far and wow, very impressed! As I mention these are test shots so no prizes for composition etc! The last one was taken through my dining room window. Oh and lastly Im pretty sure I took them all wide open @f2.0 ( Olympus E-M1)
Regards
Tim

I suspect this could be an excellent lens for astro-photography, where lack of AF is not an issue. I'd be interested to know if anyone on here has tried it for this purpose?

Re: Micro 4/3 Hidden Gem? Samyang 135mm F2.0! Test Shots Enclosed

Hi there.
I bought it from mpb in the Uk and it was £279.99. People have suggested buying a different mount then buying a micro 4/3 adapter which would give you the option of adding the Mc14 and Speedbooster. I decided against that but I guess its worth considering before you buy, although a decent speedbooster costs a fortune which would make it a very expensive buy. If I want something around 180mm I think I would go for the new Samyang 85mm F1.8. Its a stellar performer like the 135mm F2.0 according to reviews that I have seen. If you already have an MC14 I think its worth considering though to get an option of 378@F2.8 pretty much 400mm that I'm sure would be very decent quality.
Kind Regards
Tim

Never heard of that lens. Great images.

I thought this site https://www.four-thirds.org/en/micro...l.html#c=INDEX was comprehensive. I guess the nearest other (micro)FT lenses are Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro and Oly 150mm f/2.0 ("Little tuna") - both AFof course.
