Skye Trip With the Camera Club

On Saturday I was invited along on a trip with the camera club I have 'drifted away from'; the destination was Skye. I was late and, realising I wouldn't make the sunrise meeting point, took a slight detour to Isleornsay. I think it was worth it:

A lot of the day was spent driving around the island with short stops for photography, one such stop was at Lealt on the north east coast with this view to the Torridon hills:

The sunset target location was at the other end of the island (lots more driving); on the way we stopped at Ord to take in some nice light on the Cuillin:

Dunscaith Castle was the final stop and soon after taking this shot the sun disappeared behind the bank of thick cloud:

Fortunately the view north made up for the lack of a spectacular sunset:

They're lovely Iain. I must get up to Scotland again sometime soon.

Re: Skye Trip With the Camera Club

Sounds like the club tried to cover a bit too much ground in one day, but you still got some excellent pictures. The first is my favourite..

Some lovely scenery to be had on our own doorstep which many people either take for gramted or just don't appreciate.

Thanks for sharing.

Smashing set of images Iain. Like John my favourite is that first one, it was certainly well worth the detour.
