The daft things you do

Do you do daft things sometimes and catch yourself and think what the hell am I doing??

My latest daft thing is to set the camera to shoot in square format (1x1) start off viewing in landscape then hold the camera in portrait orientation to see if it makes better composition....duh!!,

Red face Re: The daft things you do

Walked over a mile back to the car, thinking my 70-300 had stopped working, only to realise I had forgotten to switch the AF back on with the lens switch...

Re: The daft things you do

Repeatedly switched the camera on and off, fiddled with the aperture, removed and reseated the lens, all because the viewfiner was black ..... Then removed the lens cap!

Yesterday, Got up at 05.45 walked a mile down the my lock up garage to take the Marlin for its MOT, I wanted to be first in the queue, only to find I taken the Disco keys with me.
It wouldn't have been quite so annoying, but when I picked up the keys off the hook , I knew they were the wrong ones so I put them back. I then picked op the separate house key, added it to the Disco keys and took them anyway.

I get in the garage at the second attempt, but the remote stops working, so I can't start the car. Fortunately, just dirty connections on the remote's battery, but of course I don't have a jeweller's screwdriver with me, and there's a couple of steep hills between the garage and my house. Ho Hum.

...like leaning over a waterfall to take a pic and using the lens hood for protection from the spary, then waving goodbye to it as it floats down the river because I didn't click it in place?
