4/3 to micro Adapter for E-PL1

Probably sounds silly but ...

I have searched the web for a 4/3 to micro Adapter for E-PL1 but haven't found it.

I would be grateful if you could post me a link to a site that stocks this item please.

Regards,

Basically the same item and silly prices - they should be given free to those of us with 4/3 lenses

Nick - Thanks for the links but which do I need for an E-PL1.

The following text has left me wondering, what's the difference between MMF-1 and MMF-2 .

If both are compatible with Olympus 4/3 lenses, which am I better off buying?

Re: 4/3 to micro Adapter for E-PL1

They are identical mechanically and functionally. MMF2 is black, and fractionally lighter than the MMF1, which is silver. There's also Panasonic's version DMW MA1, which may be a little cheaper but again is mechanically identical.

PS they are starting to come on the market second-hand. As there are no mechanical parts to go wrong, if you can find either at a good price, go for it!

Just as Stephen says you can use either.

The adapter is just a bit of empty space enclosed in a tube (to make up for the space used by the mirror), a female 4/3 mount, a male micro 4/3'rd mount and a bit of elecktrickery to map the different contact format. Probably worth about a quarter of what they charge. Still you only need one.

Don't buy a chinese/e-bay one, they don't have the elecktrickery so nothing works on the lens (focus/aperture etc).

Re: 4/3 to micro Adapter for E-PL1

Thanks Stephen and Nick for the info, and apologies for the delay in reply. Vic school holidays began yesterday and Facebookers overload the networks. Australia has the developed world's slowest "Broadband".

I ordered a Refurbished E- PL1 (body only) from B&H NY - if on schedule it will arrive next week.

Re: 4/3 to micro Adapter for E-PL1

Would you believe it!

As you can see, this is an Olympus Certified Refurbished product which appears in pristine condition, complete with
new instruction sheet + battery, charger, cables etc. While waiting for the adapter I will have time to read the intructions (lest all else fails )
From B&H NY to Rural VIC, AU, ordered last Wed, 6/29, home delivery Mon 7/4, barely 3 clear working days. Ordered MMF-2 ex Melbourne, to arrive this week.
