Bug Hunting

I have absolutely no idea what the majority of these are but some mini beasts are particularly odd looking.

Any IDs would be gratefully recieved.

All taken today with my trusty old E400 70-300mm and EC14. Its amazing whats around when you just slow down and have a look.

It sure is and you have been busy today ! Nice photos, I cannot help you with names of these ... except Tadpoles! ... still ? I have to ask where do you live Tim ? ours turned to Frogs a month and two ago.

In Shropshire, the pool these were in was absolutely teaming with them. The wAter was literally black with tadpoles.

Thanks Peak, well it appears the first is a female Scorpion Fly.

Not seen may roses yet Chevvy, the Rhodedandrum in the garden is loaded with flowers though for the first time in 8 years!

I think these may be TOADpoles, I remember trying to walk along a path near Aboyne which was covered in tiny black Toads at the beginning of July last year.
