Having worked in schools and FE Colleges, I have seen many many such “answers”.

My favourite was in a carpentry exam:

Q. “What is a Purlin”

A. “A row of happy cats”.

A chemistry teacher showed me a homework submission about Alfred Nobel handed in by a Chinese student.

It said that he was a Saxon King of Wessex and was an expert in plasma physics and had invented dynamite. The teacher marked it: "Oops - please see me!".
