" 'neath the shroud of the foggy dew "

Our summers are so unbearably hot that winter is nice for photography. The pastures glow 'neath the shroud of the foggy dew.

I'd say it's been a fairly mild winter here with the wattle beginning to bloom already there are already visible signs of spring.

Thanks for commenting but have to tell you that I much prefer live trees Chevvy!

Mark, yes I too prefer live trees - BUT I think many dead trees provide a beautiful sculpture in contrast to a landscape ! I mean, this dead tree truly stands out in your shot

Interesting shot Mark, nice composition.

I must admit I'm kind of partial to the odd dead tree or three

I agree Chevvy and Huw ... I meant that I like live trees generally as opposed to a forest of dead ones. I was mainly thinking of some of our man made lakes in which trees once living are now but lifeless trunks and limbs reaching above the surface.

An odd dead trea featured among healthy ones can add interest and serves to remind us of the mortality of all living things.

Thanks for the picture Huw!
