FS-FR1 Flash Adapter Ring (for ring flash)

I am looking for an Olympus FS-FR1 Flash Adapter Ring adaptor to use the Olympus ring flash with my Zuiko 50 mm f.2.0 macro lens.

The list price of these things seems plain daft to me, (I would have thought Olympus could have included the adaptor ring with the ring flash system; after all it cost enough), so I thought I would ask around.

Does anyone have one of these rings suprlus to requirements?

Has anyone bought one on fleabay? If so, was it OK?

The ring flash system itself is excellent, and gives first class results - even if it does look like a mutated FL50.

Re: FS-FR1 Flash Adapter Ring (for ring flash)

firstly the controller is a mutated FL50 - but I guess you realised that.

the mounting ring is pretty solid and any damage will be evident, the press release clips would be the obvious area but they are well made.

bad news is that most with it will know it's cost, to their cost.

good luck - it's worth it. You are a little to far away for me to arrange the occassional loan.
