My first BIF photos with EM1 MK 2

I have never been able to get any BIF photos but today tried the C1 setting (as per factory default) with a 40-150mm plus MC 14 in the garden and am very happy with the results. I hope to get better with practice but I think this is a good start from what is becoming my favourite ever camera.

Thanks for looking and please let me know what you think (gently!).

Mark

Re: First BIF photos with EM1 MK 2

That's a great start, but for BIF I would recommend you try to use faster speeds. Three of them were taken at 1/500 sec. I would suggest you use a higher ISO than 200 and keep the lens at F4 and get speeds up to at least 1/1000 or even nearer 1/2000 if possible.

Nice to see pictures of a magpie. It's certainly an encouraging start with the new camera.

Good sequence. How much space did you have to track it - was this in reasonably open fields or a back garden hemmed in by trees?

Re: First BIF photos with EM1 MK 2

Thanks for your kind comments. It was in the garden between house and trees so there wasn't a lot of space.
