Re: A few favourites from my recent Artic Cruise

That's a nice set, Mark. No 1 is a spectacular view of the waterfall but would benefit from more contrast in pp. The last one has a great atmosphere and is my favourite.

Re: A few favourites from my recent Artic Cruise

Hi Derek

We had a "once in a lifetime" cruise from Southampton with P&O on the Arcadia to Flam and Geiranger in the Norwegian fjords and then Akureyri. Isafjordur and Reykjavik in Iceland and back via Dublin. It was a great experience and we were very fortunate with lovely weather. I have just set up a page on Flicker with my favourite pictures from the trip. I think this is the link:

Thanks for looking.

Mark

I tried your flickr link but it came up unauthorised access - have you enabled public viewing?

Re: A few favourites from my recent Artic Cruise

I've logged into Flickr, and they're not visible there, either. "No public photos".

I particularly like the three boats shot - nice composition and use of colours / contrast.

Re: A few favourites from my recent Artic Cruise

I recognise the boat in Isafjør∂ur nearest the quay; I don't think it goes anywhere (well, would you trust a grotty old tub like that?) I'll be posting a few more Icelandic ones later, so you'll probably get a different view of it!

The scenery in that part of the world never disappoints, does it? We went in June, there was quite a lot of snow on the mountains then. Also, we also went to the Faeroes. We were in a much smaller ship than the Arcadia.

That's better, Mark. A nice set, well worth the wait!

Re: A few favourites from my recent Artic Cruise

Loved all but the Waterfalls - but looks as if you did catch part of a Rainbow on the second one. Sounds like a great Trip.
