Dragonfly with the 12-100mm

This lunchtime I spotted this dragonfly (later I think I have identified it as a female four-spot chaser) and was quite pleased with the results from the 12-100mm lens. I was about 2m away (dense grass and bramble between me and her).

(If I understood how to follow the links in the communal thread I would have added them there, but these just bewilder me!)

Lovely shots Amanda. Dragonflies are quite extraordinary creatures.

Lovely shots of a beautiful dragonfly Amanda. That lens seems very versatile.

Re: Dragonfly with the 12-100mm

I agree that the lens did a great job, but so did the photographer!

Re: Dragonfly with the 12-100mm

Pretty impressive shots Amanda. I had a play with a 12-100 last Friday at Duxford. It was good but I don't think I had time to get the best out of it. Just didn't feel wowed as I'd expected to so I suspect it was me not the lens. Well that's my excuse to have another go sometime .

Re: Dragonfly with the 12-100mm

Thank you Phill D, it is much better having the extra reach over the 12-40mm,
and thecedars, to be honest, I was pleased with them.
