Adder time again

It's springtime -the boys have emerged from hibernation within the past 10 days and are just hanging around waiting for the girls to put in an appearance. I've been watching this litttle colony for a few years now and I'm pleased to say that the population has stayed very stable over that time.

Re: Adder time again

Indeed some nice captures of these gentle reptiles (unless you are a prey item of course)

You'd think so wouldn't you? 1C, snow flurries and a bitingly cold wind today, yet there they were again, hunkered down in the dead bracken catching some rays.
(Also saw my first wheatear of the year today - definitely had a look of regret on him)
