8 Legged Monster(beware scary)

Found her in my usual field where I look for butterflies just next to the M25.

Not got time to find out what type of spider it is at the moment.

Anyone any ideas???

Taken with the 50-200 and the EC14.

That's a lovely shot of a Wasp Spider Andy!

Don't ask me it's latin name - haven't got my book at work with me

Cheers

Re: 8 Legged Monster(beware scary)

At 283mm I'm starting to see why the title is so phrased.

Not a bad shot but, I was once shot down by a judge for not having the tips of all 8 legs in focus and not shooting it head on. Which is really difficult for me as I'm really not keen on getting that close to these things.

I think with all things that have eyes, you need to get them as sharp as posible and distinctly featured within the picture.
