Re: Autumn colours

This sounds dangerously close to a plan - Westonbirt is 3hrs from here so I will add my provisional attendance - pending favourable weather forcast and nothing else getting booked that week!

Re: Autumn colours

Only 2 and a half for me if the roads are OK. Wouldn't want it to be any more though these days. Same caveat for me about favourable weather.

Re: Autumn colours

2 hours from my location. All will depend on weather. Suggest we have a final decision the evening before ref weather conditions. I'm in anyway....

Are we going for a sunset?? Or just what the day throws at us. Evening light should be better I think.

Meeting time to be decided. Midday might be starting time???

Re: Autumn colours

I'm happy for that date (as long as it's not pouring with rain), and would love to accept your offer of a lift Andy.

Sunset is 17:52 and it closes at 17:00 .. sorry https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/@263...h=10&year=2018

Personally I think a little earlier for some of us in case some need to get home again and have to consider Friday traffic .. I have to get home as I'm off to the US for work just after

I'm thinking I would get there around 10:00-11:00 and be around for much of the rest of the leaving earlier if it gets too cold or wet.

How does that sound with folk?

Regards
Andy

A rolled up trouser leg and possibly a very small briefcase?

Oops sorry, wrong meet.

Re: Autumn colours

OK, I'm happy to do Westonbirt and Friday the 26th October. If there is interest, I'll stay over and we can do Saturday as well.

I just need to finalise a more northerly location and date.

For those from in and around London who aren't keen or able to travel far, an Epping Forest meet as suggested is good too.

Ian

Re: Autumn colours

I'd make this the first week of November, which normally seems to be the best for the colours now.
As it's just up the road for me I'll try and get along.

Yes indeed - I will plan to be there in a white Suzuki Grand Vitara if I am in the car park at that time - or close to the entrance with an Olympus camera around my neck (and an Oly hat if I can find it )

Regards

Andy
