A bit disappointing that something as simple as a lens hod should be over-engineered to such an extent that it regularly fails in normal use. Life expectancy (if not warranties) should be in decades for such a simple item. Tech designers are often too ready to over-engineer something (perhaps to justify their own jobs) and then things get released to the market with insufficient resilience testing.
