They work as if they were designed for that camera. Far better than they worked on the E-3. Very fast and accurate focus. I managed to get some surprisingly good photos of WWI and WWII aircraft in flight using the old 4/3 Sigma 50-500mm (BIGMA) lens, which I see that you also have. Unfortunately the aperture on that lens failed earlier this year and it cannot be repaired. I replaced it with the micro 4/3 Pana/Leica 100-400mm lens. That's the beauty of being able to support both systems.
I don't have the bigma but was on the wish list for a while. I might take the jump to mk ii to see how it goes.

Thanks for all the advice.

I must be getting older quicker than I thought. My eyes aren't all that good. I could have sworn that you had a BIGMA.

More seriously, if you have a good variety of 4/3 lenses, the E-M1 Mk II with an MMF-3 adaptor is the way to go........ Provided you can argue the cost to the controller of your finances. In my case that is me, myself, I.

Re: E-30 and 4 Thirds Lens

My opinion is basically as above.

I first used it with the MMF3 and the 50mm macro - which was absolutely fine. The only reason I have stopped is that i now have the u4/3 60mm which supports focus stacking on the EM1 MkII

I've used it with the 7-14 and that is fine - I will probably replace that with the the u4/3 version at some time because of weight - not because of image quality.

I have mainly used it with the bigma (but I am thinking of getting rid of mine - it's underused and seems to be getting stiff in moving).

As I got the 12-100 many of my other lenses in that range e.g. 11-22,14-54 are now gathering dust I should think of offering them for sale some time

Regards
Andy
