Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

Looking for any help to fairly price my E5 kit to sell and put towards an OM D EM1 mk11. Not sure whether to separate or sell in a hastle free kit form. I donít want to advertise it for stupid money to get laughed at. I was possibly going to sell the sigma lenses seperately, esp the Bigma. Any help is welcome and also the best place to list such kit.
List of my kit:
E5 - 8500 actuations (unboxed but instructions)
12-60mm f2.8-4 (boxed)
11-22mm f2.8-3.5 (unboxed)
9-18mm f4-5.6 (unboxed)
50mm F2 (unboxed + no hood)
Sigma 35mm F1.4 (boxed)
Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 (unboxed but carry case)
2x Olympus batteries
2x aftermarket batteries (pants but handle in emergencies)
Genuine Olympus remote
David Busch user guide book
All lenses have filters
Currently in a flip side 300 bag
All kit is excellent unmarked condition, lenses no fungus or scratches etc.

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

Farms welcome to the forum.
My suggestion would be to sell separately as you would get better prices individually. Also most people investing a significant amount of money in a complete 4/3s system are likely to want to go micro.
You can get sold prices off ebay to give you a guide as to what each item should be. Then you can set your own discounts depending on how quickly you need to sell and how much you need to go towards your new system.
Also don't forget that all your lenses will work pretty well on an EM1 mk2 with the adapter. So slowly switching into a micro system might be a good option.

I agree. Sell the E5 for an EM1-ii with MMF3 and maybe the 12-60 for a 12-40 m4/3 then do the rest in stages when you have the money. I moved from an E5 but have kept the 50 f2 macro as it works perfectly well and find I don't really need fast focussing on a macro.

Yep I kept the 50mm macro too. Also the 11-22 although I've not used it since I swapped. It did give me some lovely images though back in the day so maybe I ought to give it a whirl sometime soon.

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

Thank for the info guys. My plan was to jump straight in with the 12-40 f2.8, 40-150 f2.8 & 25mm F1.2 so that would mean not needing several lens. I completely agree with the 50mm F2 tho,, wow, what a lens on the E5, so sharp, my fav lens by far,, when stuff not moving about that is lol
So where would you guys recommend selling? Just listing on eBay and assuming it will get itís true value?

I can see the sigma 50-500 goes for good money and mine is just like new, best example Iíve seen. But I guess that would be a rather large bit of glass on e1 mk11

In the first instance I'd list the items here. Forum members have a good record for deals of this sort. You can get an idea of what price to ask by looking at Ffordes or SRS, both of whom sell used FT kit. You won't get what they ask because they offer a guarantee which you won't be able to do, so you'll have to knock the asking price back a bit and be prepared to haggle. If that fails you'll have to go to eBay or try Ffordes/SRS. I've used the latter with success. They do charge commission but you have costs if you sell on eBay too.

You can also get quotes from MBP and Camera Jungle online without any hassle.
It may not be the most cost effective way to sell but might suit.

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

I’m one of these guys that just dosnt want the hassle. I did try getting a quote from MBP but they said they could not quote for them. I will try on here first.
Looking forward to trying the new camera when I get it after using the E5 for so many years during 100s of fishing trips and surf shots with friends.

I agree try ffrodes they will give you a number of methods.
I sold my kit with them when I moved full m43 the only lens I kept was the bigma but I think it may be leaving me soon if Olympus bring a rival to the Panasonic 100 -- 400.

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

I'm with the "sell it in stages" brigade - I still use my 4/3 Oly 9-18 and my 4/3 Oly 50-200 on my EM1(i). I didn't get their equivalent in m4/3 as I think I've not used them enough, if you get what I mean. And I bought my 4/3 Sigma 30/1.4 and Oly 70-300 AFTER I switched. (I use OH's 50/2, too !)

The disadvantage of the sell-in-stages is that 4/3 lenses aren't in short supply - it's a buyer's market, so prices won't go up !

Disclaimer: I do suffer from GAS, and also rarely part with gear ... (some might say I hoard).

How do you find the sigma 35mm 1.4 works on the m4/3 system? I used to like it but when I bought the Olympus 50mm F2 I realised it was absolute pants in comparison.

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

Hi again. Do you mean the old 4/3 Sigma 30 / 1.4 compared to the 4/3 Oly 50 / 2 ?

I like them both - I tend to use the former in very low light situations or for portraits if the sitter isn't too "shifty"; the latter with the 4/3 2x adapter for greater magnification on macros, and as a general fun-to-carry-around-but-rather-big 100mm equivalent ...

(Or did you mean a Sigma 35 / 1.4 Art from Canon on a manual adapter, or ... ?! I don't know of a 4/3 35/1.4 Sigma)

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

Interesting comments. I use my 12-60mm f2.8 and MMF3 for video on the Micro system. For my particular requirement ( Dog shows ) it has just the right range.
If the price is right, I may be interested in the E-5. Did you buy it new?

Re: Looking for help pricing my E5 kit to sell

That's a *lot* of kit to sell as one job lot, unless you're selling it to someone who will split and sell on separately - particularly as three of your lenses (12-60, 11-22, 9-18) substantially overlap in function. As others have said, a MMF-3 would be a good investment and then hang on to some of your better lenses (12-60?, 50-200? 50 macro?) for the time being at least, unless you really need faster AF. 12-40 f/2.8 is great lens for general use but you might miss the 40-60 range. Bigma is specialised and definitely worth selling separately. It's not too big for E-M1; if you use the tripod foot on the lens then the camera size doesn't matter much. But the Pana 100-400 is less unwieldy.
