Epithelantha micromeris, a Miniature Cactus, with 3D

Not all cacti live in the desert but this one does, at altitudes of 500 to 1800 meters. It is one of the miniature species, naturally growing in rocky crevices. Its covering of white spines reflects excessive sunlight.

Many of the smaller cacti have large flowers, often with long tubes, extending them well above the top of the plant. This species has tiny, silky flowers.

Olympus EM-1, Olympus 4/3 x2TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro,1/250 at f14, sunlight, hand-held.

The stereos are crosseye.
