Hehe! Until I saw the last one I thought that was a walnut and I was asking myself - why is there a walnut on the beach? D'oh!

The first two look identical to me...

    I do like the last!

Ian there is a bit more sand foreground VS sea background between 1 & 2 !

A WALNUT (she squeeled aghast, given the huge nut it actually was! ... now that must be the reason I had some land and sky in the original shot - perspective !

I like the last best, too ! now !

Hmmmm... a single nut on a beach... reminds me of plenty of UK beaches in the winter!

Phew ! glad to know this Mark ! ... I was almost bored playing on the beach/in the sea then I wandered along the Beach and found a Playmate - my Coconut and the sea was amazingly strong, every time I threw the nut in, back it came to me ! Then I had a thought, camera & shot !

Yep John BUT in the UK the nut is dressed with a white hankie, secured by means of a knot at each corner and walking in sandals with SOCKS ON

!This (in Marks & Spencers Dervla Kerwin voice over) is no ordinary UK nut, this (deep breath) is a Seychelles nut ! !

Thought coconuts were hairy? Is that just when they're dry? Anyway, the third one is so peaceful, so pacific (pun intended).

Falk, yes its amazing really the coconut you see in the sea has a brown Mango like skin with the coconut hair under - this is coir that matting etc., is made from ! its there to protect the coconut when its ripe and falls from a great height off the tree !

                      Re: Cropped Nuts

Hi Chevvy - it is amazing how far we have travelled from my original thought!

I agree with Ian - when looking at your first 2 shots if I hadn't have known it was your coconut I would have been wondering what the heck the photo was all about.
But #3 is a cracker & explains what the coconut is doing on the beach.
Just shows what a good crop can do.

For me it is the last shot. Having said that they all appeal to me as they all seem to have "movement" in them.
