The SCR in the circuit closes (like a switch) to trigger either the camera or the flash. The SCR I used is rated to 1000V so no problem using old guns with high trigger voltages.


That company, and others, have cross beam sensors and zig-zag (off a mirror) sensors to enable you to catch very small things.


The small gap sensor shown was used for water drops and was very effective. I may just power it up and do some more...
