Ah, 1 second is too long is it for the moon - I took about 20 shots between 1 and 3.5 seconds. As you say, I'll have another go in 10 years. Focus was a little difficult as the moon was darker than I expected. Some wispy cloud did not help.

Here is my attempt, processed in OV3. 40-150mm +1.4TC, but first how it normally looks.


Early in the evening. F6.3, 1/640sec, ISO 250, handheld propped against the window frame.


Blood Red Wolf Moon. F4.0, 1Sec, ISO 600, tripod.
Edit: I've tweaked the OV3 jpeg with a pass through Elements in an attempt to remove a pixels worth of motion blur and reposted the picture. Old one still in my gallery for comparison.

I did have the x2 digital teleconverter on but OOC jpegs did not look as good as re-processing from the RAW (to a smaller pixel count).
