I now don't have the bag, but IIRC a major design fault is that when its fitted on the bag it creates a sort of pouch at the bottom, where the bottom of the bag sits. This actually collects water and holds it so it soaks into the bag.

If I'm going out for a day and suspect it might rain, I carry one of these:

My waterproofs, lunch etc. go in it and if it rains I put my non-waterproof camera bag in it as well.
