Re: Night sky with OMDEM5 II

I have been using the EM1 for astrophotography but have been concerned that the on sensor PDAF sensors degrades the sensor performance. With Astrophotography every photon counts. So one of the reason I have recently brought the EM5 Mk II is hoping that there will be an improvement in astrophotography images as I have read some very encouraging comments on the EM5 mkII for this use. I recently took a high res shot of the moon with the 300mm F4 here http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42637

At the moment I am still waiting for astro dark skies and some of the galaxies to appear in the right part pf the sky so have not yet been able to see if the em5 mkII is any better than the EM1.

As far as lenses are concerned you really need to be using the fastest aperture lens you can afford. You also need very dark skies sites.
