Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Quick garden grab shot through the kitchen window with my new 75-300mm. There were two pigeons on the bird table until this sparrowhawk had one for lunch. Funny thing is I was just about to take this new lens out for the first time to practice with it. Just goes to show what goes on in your back garden if you're lucky.

Had no time to check settings so shot at fairly high ISO and a stupidly low shutter speed for a 600mm equivalent focal length and self induced coffee shakes So not tack sharp. If only I was outside with better light. Then again the sparrowhawk wouldn't have appeared if I was there. These telephoto lenses don't half take some practice at the long end.
