Hi I have the 70-300 and for the price is well worth it but can be a bit slow in focusing ,the 50-200 is a pro one splash and dust proof hence the price and swd for focus so should be quicker, you could hire one first to see how you go and get some (7 days) of the hire fee back if you buy one, wish i could
