I see the versions of Photoshop are 'portable'. Some while ago I downloaded a free portable version of CS2 (IIRC). It was a cut-down version that would run off a USB stick. There was quite a bit missing off it, but it was handy to have in order to do a quick fix on an image on a computer without image processing software installed.

I guess these free portable versions of Photoshop are compact illegally hacked versions of the real thing. I tend to take the view that they are probably good for Adobe, because they give enough flavour of the real thing for people to go out and buy it, without having to go through the rigmarole of installing a legit trial copy.
