Re: Fen Raft Spiders

Never heard of a spider that dwells on water. I Googled it.

is a European species of spider in the Pisauridae family. Like other Dolomedes spiders, it is semi-aquatic, hunting its prey on the surface of water. Wikipedia
Conservation status: Vulnerable Encyclopedia of Life
Scientific name: Dolomedes plantarius
Did you know: Only three populations of the Fen raft spider are known in the UK: Redgrave and Lopham Fen in Suffolk, the Pevensey levels in East Sussex, and Pant-y-Sais Fen and Crymlyn Bog near Swansea. buglife.org.uk.

Interesting.
