ANZAC Square is where the Remembrance Day service to commemorate 100 years since the end of WWI will be held in Brisbane on 11 November 2018. It was in fairly decent condition before the refurbishment work started. In my opinion, if there was even the slightest chance that the refurbishment work wouldn't be finished by 11 November 2018, they shouldn't have started the work until after 11 November 2018.

As it is, the ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI will be held overlooking a construction site. I am seriously considering driving up to Toowoomba to attend the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Mothers' Memorial (
