Thank you John. I did try the crop you suggested but there was so little background left that the chair filled the frame and I felt the result was out of context for the "minimalism" subject.

I too was torn between many good entries. Some I felt did not quite pertain to the minimalist theme and so looked hard at Dave's, Paul's, Chris's, Henry's, Alf's and Iain's which I felt fullfilled the brief accurately. In the end I stretched the definition a bit to include tonality and opted for Davy's hare as it was such an excellent shot although a wider view with more white snow around the animal would have better suited this theme.
