That is a very clear shot Paul, especially as it was taken through double glazing. I had two Wood Pigeons killed by Sparrow Hawks in my garden recently (both while I was out.) The garden was completely covered with feathers and it took weeks before they finally blew away. The hawk must have sat there undisturbed until the pigeon was completely plucked.

Last year a Sparrow Hawk caught a Starling and proceeded to pluck and eat it alive right in front of the dining room window. It took about fifteen minutes before the Starling finally succumbed. Quite put me off my lunch.
