Re: Samyang 7.5mm f3.5 fisheye

Regarding differences between the two. These are my observations:

- At comparable apertures there is little to chose between them. The Olympus is a little sharper in the corners at the Samyang's...

Re: Olympus STF-8 flash and Oshiro converter mayhem.

I shoot a lot of fungi with flash. Getting the cap evenly(ish) lit and some fill underneath is tricky, even with twin flash. Some kind of white reflector(s) to deflect light underneath would help....

Re: EE1 dot sight

I've found it very useful with the EM1V2 and the 300 on CAF low to maintain AF @ 10fps.
Framing is a bit hit and miss close up due to the slight positional difference, but once it is set up it is...

Re: Olympus FL-300R with EM1 Mk II

You can use flash in silent mode on the MK2, just set it in the "shooting menu 2", "antishock/silent", "silent mode settings", "flash mode", "allow".

You can add sound(!) and the Illuminator too.

After feedback from Hähnel, swift response from them, it looks like it is a Canon C1 cable. The Hähnel cable pack includes C1 and C3 cable but as the C1 is the 2.5mm plug we can reasonably deduce...

I've just used a 2000x, 64gB in Slot 1 wth no problems. Issues only seem to have arisen with 128gB and larger. I think you'll be ok.

Re: Spending a day testing the E-M1 II in Spain this weekend

As I posted on Graham's thread about his initial thoughts, I've been looking at raw files using Rawtherapee and they look very good - a worthwhile step up on the E-M1 IMHO.
