Re: A mix of Landsacpes

Number 2 is stunning! B&W is a great choice.

Number 3 is great for colours and detail, but doesn't draw me in, and number 1, unfortunately, does nothing for me. Visuals are subjective, and clearly...

Number one, and Alfbranch's addition if you can.

I really like the shot!

Re: It's been a while...Still in China

Thanks for the tip. I plan to go back and cover the amusement park and the ever colour-changing Cultural and Expo centre. This was just trying to smooth the lake water. My first attempt, and I can...

My condolences to you. I've just returned to the sight and this is sad news indeed.

Which is a good reason to offer these as postcards. Looks like a great trip and excellent results!

Re: EM1 street and the Police

I was photographing my daughter in a playground - we walked in together, she called me Dad, and I was sure to only include her on the slides/swings etc.

This thick-neck tattoed cliche' of an...

Re: March of the Darlecs

*chrGreat to see such nice pictures of something I usually try and avoid in my landscapes.

This is the art; revealing something in a different light. Well done both of you!

Re: Kristiansund - Norway

All good, but 2 and 5 stand out for me. It's all about light, and capturing that light, which you've done well here!

I'd like to see 3 larger.

Re: Fiddler (but not on the roof)

I love the treatment on this. The picture is very sharp and there is a tension between the fiddler and what he is looking at. Nice catch.

Re: Tulip and magnolia

The tulip shot is striking in its simplicity. The Magnolia shot has an unusual appeal and, as has been said, is almost 3D in appearance. Very nice.

Re: Cheap macro tubes and flash ring

Now edited. It was: E-M5 and mZuiko 40-150mm.

This doesn't compete with a dedicated macro setup, but it's a good way to test one's interest in this type of photography before spending a lot more....

Wonderful shot!

I'd already decided to give the scene settings another look. This is why.

75-300mm Simple graphic to show FOV

Hello,

It's been a while, but I managed to get on the roof of my building and at least snap a few shots with my new 75mm-300mm MKII.

This is just an exercise in the FOV for those debating what...

Re: How big is 9mm to 14mm? - Reposted images

Ah! I found one of the originals hanging around on Flickr.

It better shows how the extra 5mm is useful.

Re: Quite Surprised

Coming back to it later in the day I like it more; and I agree the mount and frame would have more of an influence.
