Re: F1.2 pro glass

I have all three and they are outstanding optics.
My favourites are the 17 and 45, but funnily enough I have used the 25 the most so far. I previously had the f/1.8 variants but wanted faster glass...

Re: Oly sold out of.......

I bought this one (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01E7BBWAO/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for my Pen-F (now sold).
Very nicely made genuine leather and more flexible than the...

Re: Out with the 17 mm f/1.2 yesterday

Thanks Mark, without a sense of scale things can be difficult to identify.
This is an old gate that sits in a permanently open position.

Re: Panny 12-32mm, bargain at Bristol Cameras.

My one and only experience with them was disappointing and that was eleven years ago.
They still seem to be the lottery that they were back then.

Re: Long Tailed Tit

Sadly it wont work Mark, both mechanically and electrically.
Mechanically the form of both converters is similar with the front element protruding into the back of the lens its bayoneted to. MC-20...

Re: My latest foray into FF mirrorless - and why I'm sticking with m43

Image quality wise, difficult to pick one ahead of the other to be honest.
Then there are the obvious benefits to both. Lighter, faster-v-more flexible (heavier).
I kept my 12-40 when I added the...

Re: Communal Night-Sky Photography Thread

Nice shot Dave, looks like there are some weird hatching artifacts on the surface there.
Maybe the 'Moon' film for real (Sam Rockwell etc) ;)

Re: Hand held hi res - It's fabulous !

You could also add the Fuji X-H1 and XT-3 to the list.
Shame about the EVF, it doesn't send a great signal out because I'm sure they would have had access to a higher resolution panel.

My G9 EVF...

Re: New silver E-M1 Mark II camera

To be honest I think black lenses look best with a silver and black bodied camera.
My now departed Pen-F was always paired with black primes. Capable of very nice images too as well as looking an...

Re: My latest foray into FF mirrorless - and why I'm sticking with m43

As you know Paul, I've been doing a similar exercise recently and came to the same conclusion.
I would add the very high quality and vast range of glass available to micro 4/3rds users as another...

Re: E-M1X thoughts and excellent Dave Etchells video

For me it's deal breaker too.
Though I do occasionally use the grip both on my E-M1 MkII and Lumix G9 when paired with the 300 f/4 and also the 40-150 f/2.8, I mostly use both without.
Had the...
