Postage Stamps to Go Up Next Week

Stamp prices rise next Mon - stock up by Sun. On 25 Mar, the price of a 1st class standard letter rises to 70p, 2nd class to 61p. Large letters rise by even more.

It's the "wavelength" of the suspension on the trucks they tend to exert pressure in a pattern as they drive and develop ridges

Received wisdom is that if you drive at more than 8kph you risk 'washboarding' the surface. it seems to vary according to what the surface is.

Eyecup arrived today. Thoughts are that it doesn't look as good on the camera but it is much better. I don't have to crush my nose against the LCD to get a good seal around my eye now :tup

In the UK generally only at the locks. Remember nearly all of them were dug by hand!
Dutch ones tend to take much bigger traffic so are usually in a completely different league, but the width here...
