If you go back a few years, the RPS stopped accepting HDR & Tone Mapped images as the whole "Larger that Life" look was getting out of hand and at minimum cliché...

I judge a lot of competitions...

Having tested hundreds of cameras over the years, the first thing I did (after battery charge) was to take a few pictures straight out the box, then do a factory reset and do a few more on full auto...

As I shoot mainly in Manual and RAW with what is effectively my “studio” camera, the default settings are fine for me, so not a problem.
