It depends on how much spare cash you have Dave, 1 stop better and better CAF for birds in flight would interest me even at 3k that's still half what my 1dxmkII cost .

They don't have to improve it by much over the mkII for me to be interested, a stop better iso ,faster startup, and more accurate AF tracking for birds in flight .

Yes it does jump about ,it would be nice if the centre point had priority and only changed if it lost focus but as the camera is looking for contrast and or nearest single point is the only way ....

Iv had success with all of the settings same with my 1DXMK II but I do find +2 can make the camera feel a little jiterish / jumpy because it can react quicker than I can
