Re: Is this a conspiracy?

I'm only a libertarian mate, harmless honest.:)

Maybe my first post was a bit direct. No offence was intended. Such is life these days, everyone seems to be ducking and weaving, the world is just...

Re: Is this a conspiracy?

Interestingly Orwell separated socialism from statism, as did the ancient Greeks who came up with all this. 1984 is his warning about what statism will look like, and he's absolutely right. Statism...

Re: Is this a conspiracy?

Indeed, with liberty comes great individual responsibility. An immense challenge. If only we were given an education to match it, rather than one that pushes us the other way. It would help.

The...

Re: Is this a conspiracy?

I notice stuff ;) but i'm not particularly articulate. I'm sure you get my drift. People out there are not less intelligent than you, they may simply have different solutions.

Re: Is this a conspiracy?

Anyone else noticed how authoritarian and coercive progressives are? They love to pontificate about how everyone else is an idiot or somehow blind, unable to grasp simple [leftist] concepts. It's...

Re: Corroson on my EM1.1

A few weeks ago i noticed white crusts along several areas of my em1.1 body seams. The battery grip is fine, and inside the camera battery compartment is all ok. However, on the left of the...

Re: Open your door to Trick or Treat?

Well I've never 'wassailed' but i'd be reluctant to deny it its 'tradition' status. Children begging for goodies at halloween has it's origins in souling and guising, themselves based on older...

Re: Open your door to Trick or Treat?

This place reads just like CNN. The tradition is centuries old and is British and Irish. Other cultures do it too, i quite like the sugar skulls of Mexico. Only the actual words "trick or treat" are...

Re: Odd clouds

There's a similar phenomena called cloud canals, i'd forgotten about those.

Re: Odd clouds

Definitely not a lenticular cloud. It's a Fallstreak Hole, caused by a mixture of supercooled water and ice. I saw a good one above Cumbria many years ago and a smaller one since. They are quite rare.

I got more coming :o

Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

Yes always, i have a magnifying glass handy. The smaller top leaves are usually ok and taste the best. Awkward to wash but worth it (the leaves go soft and floppy) but tasty added raw in a herb salad...

Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

I've wasted so many hours chasing these things during warm spells in the spring, they never settle, and when they do they flutter off the moment you approach :). I've never had so many opportunities...

Re: Electronic shutter/silent mode query.

IIRC the sensor readout speed for the EM1 is 1/13 sec. The EM1II is quoted 4x faster at 1/60.

The sensor readout speed does not affect shutter speed.

FWIW according to this guy the em1 is...
