Re: Suggestions - suitable bag for larger lenses

Looks amazing value (though I don't recognise the retailer name and brand). But not quite for my spec as it says:

"The main internal compartment measures 290mm (l) x 200mm (d) x 100mm (w)"

Re: Suggestions - suitable bag for larger lenses

Kata got taken over by Manfrotto. I got mine used from EBay. It is a model 3N1 - 35PL and is huge. Useful if you want to carry other stuff as well as photo equipment. And very robust.

Re: OMD EM1 Auto ISO

I'm not a mark ii owner but I think that did make it to the spec.

I'm sure they could add it to the E-M1 Classic spec with a firmware update if they wanted, but they might not want to. Would be...

Re: Suggestions - suitable bag for larger lenses

Thanks. Looks great. But I'm more interested in a shoulder bag than a backpack. I already have a large Kata backpack which can contain as much as I ever want to carry (and which has a facility to...

Re: OMD EM1 Auto ISO

Mine functions okay, but I can't make up my mind whether I prefer auto ISO (with quite a narrow range: 200-640) or whether I prefer to alter it manually. I tend to avoid the little lever as I too...

Suggestions - suitable bag for larger lenses

Hi. A bit of a GAS question I suppose, but I'm thinking I could do with a somewhat larger shoulder bag than my LowePro Nova 180 AW (internal dimensions 25.5 cm wide x 15 cm deep x 19.5 cm high) -...

Re: E3 Heads Up

Does it have any advantages over an E-M1 in some contexts? I have some nice FT lenses and have sometimes wondered if they might perform better on a native FT camera rather than E-M1 and MMF-3.

Re: Laowa 25mm: Hemitrichia at High Magnification and My Favourite Stereo

Nice what you can find if you look hard. And well captured as ever.

Roughly how big are these? Do you mean the whole width of the image is just 3mm in real life?

And here was me, wondering from the thread title whether it was about an unsatisfactory party for transvestites :-)

Re: LibreOffice

I've had LibreOffice since a laptop repair at a local shop somehow turned into a reinstall and lost my MS Office. I hate to rent software. LibreOffice has been good and pretty well perfectly...

Re: Churches of 2018

These are great. Particularly like Hampton Lucy, both Stratfords, Walkworth and the last one in both snowy and summery versions.

Re: The mighty 12-100

I guess the shots above were in very good light then, as they don't seem like high ISO.

You must have very steady hands if you can get sharp shots at 8 seconds! Can't imagine stabilisation would...

Re: The mighty 12-100

If you include MMF-3 with the 12-60 then they're almost identical in size but the 12-100 is lighter:

12-100 561g / D 78mm / L 117mm
12-60SWD 575g / D 79mm / L 99mm
MMF-3 100g / D ?...

Re: The mighty 12-100

Were these handheld? even more remarkable. Lovely images Paul.

(I've sometimes used my old FT 50-200 to attempt telephoto landscapes, from a tripod. Doesn't have the stabilisation of course.)

As for E-M1 and E-M5 II,both can be set up as a Wifi hotspot and you can connect your phone and use Olympus OI Share app to do various activities - e.g. remotely control the camera, or download...

Re: Using the P mode?

All 4 of those modes (A, S, P & M) give the same control, but in different ways they make some adjustments easier than others.

You can imagine it as an experiment with 4 variables (aperture,...
