Re: New silver E-M1 Mark II camera

Will it have any titanium in it, or is it simply a 'titanium like' finish?

'Titanium' is a current buzz word ('Wow - titanium, it must be good!')

There's a Ford Focus Titanium - I don't suppose...

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

I think that if there's no deal it will be the E.U's actions in implementing a border that will effectively result in breaking the Good Friday agreement. We will be under no obligation to have a...

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

Re: Political: Time for the little guy ?

The edges of the holes should be radiused with a smooth finish. Any surface flaw is a potential nucleus of a crack. On gas turbine engines I've been involved with, a certain number of cracks were...

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

"Checks and controls" are a border. If we drop out of the E.U. with no deal, under E.U. rules Ireland has to implement a border. We won't have to do anything it we don't want to. If Ireland doesn't...

Yes, they had no idea what they were voting for!

Oh - I thought you were referring above to the voters, not the politicians that have been given the task of squaring the Brexit circle!

I'm guessing, but I would think that the slots/holes were to clear any debris or water.

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

Put it all in the hands of Liam Fox - he long ago established that a Brexit deal will be the "easiest in history"!

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

There was more:

“Watch a portrait in miniature of Johnson the politician: underprepared, jolly, sly, dishonest and unapologetic but (and this is the worrying part) horrifyingly vulnerable.

“But...

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

Totally agree, John. Let's remind ourselves what Mathew Parris, a former Conservative M.P., said of him in The Times a few years ago:

“Somebody has to call a halt to the gathering pretence that if...

My recollection is that 'Shangri La' was a fictitious place in the Himalayas, created by James Hilton in his book 'Lost Horizon'. It was a place where people lived for hundreds of years. The hero...

I'm talking about Boris 'Pants on Fire' Johnson's character. A serial liar, fired from three jobs for doing so. An adulterer, who tried to get his girlfriend to have his child aborted and tried to...

I saw in the news today that 40% of homes that were bought under Thatcher's right to buy scheme, are now owned by private landlords and rented out at much higher than council...
