Re: Lazy camera store

You can't go wrong with the 17/1.8, or the Panasonic 15/1.7 or even the Panasonic 20/1.7. The little Panasonic 12-32 is excellent too and very compact.

Of course, for the real Leica experience,...

Re: Hi Res

High-res sample definitely much better.
I have had sensational results with it, though I haven't used it much. I even did a focus stack of high-res shots of some dead bug. Lot of work, but mind...

Re: Hi Res

Its in the instructions somewhere... that's as far as you can go.

Edit: If I remember correctly that's the "sweet spot" for depth of field and diffraction avoidance.

Re: Card specs

Ha!
I believe the M1ii wonít use 300Mb/s cards to their full potential so I stick to the 150s, and have never had the camera lock up while clearing the buffer. Cards are a lot cheaper than they were...

Re: Olympus 8mm lens f/1.8 Pro Fisheye

I have one Dave. It's a very nice lens. I don't think it's optically superior to the Samyang, but the AF is nice for close-ups and having the EXIF is a worthwhile feature. I bought it to do some...

Lightbulb Re: Olympus 8mm lens f/1.8 Pro Fisheye

I donít have one, but I have used them several times and it works very well.

However the Samyang has a focus scale on it and with such a huge DoF you can almost set it to the hyper focal distance...

Re: Apple privacy...?.

Not had that with iBooks but Apple already know everything about me via my iPhone so that battle is more or less lost.

Regarding websites - since GDPR came into force sites have to be more honest...

Re: Billingham Bag

I've got a Chinese copy of the Domke F2 bag that might suit. Although it's a copy, it's very well made (note the weight!). I think it's this one:

Re: Moon

Mars, I think. Lots of excited people have recently been putting phone pics up on Faecesbook claiming to be the moon and Mars - and the pictures are so poor that they could be anything, complete with...

Re: Carriers

Thanks. Iím afraid 27in is too big for my office/den. If it had been a 24in it might have worked. Thanks for the info, good luck selling.

Re: iMac problem

Then the Time Machine backup has all you need.

Does your old Mac work OK as well?

If so, then you have two effective copies so you are good to go.

Re: iMac problem

Good advice from Wornish.

It can seem quite daunting doing a re-installation like this but Macs generally do this kind of task quite well and without too much fuss and bother so don't worry about...

I assume you already have a time machine back up of your existing (old) Mac ?
If not what are you migrating from ?

If you have a full Time...

Re: Clacton Air show

In the absence of a coach trip I would have thought the train might be the best way to get there.

The journey time is about two hours 30 minutes via London Liverpool Street.
