Re: Whats next for Olympus?

I think the E-M1 Mk2 urgently requires a firmware update, as it is dropping out of the limelight with attractive new models from other manufacturers appearing recently. WEX currently have six used...

A wonderful shot of this reclusive bird in the perfect setting Iain. I am rather envious.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Hi Peter. I noticed these on your Flickr page yesterday. Very nice! It is always exciting to see a Bittern, especially one this showy. I'm glad to see you still have some Olympus gear but I don't...

Re: Hi From Fleet, Hampshire

Welcome to the forum Chris. The E-M1 MK2 is a great camera and, although rather daunting at first, you should find plenty of helpful advice and tips here.

Re: Overgrass mill & snowdrops

Lovely to see Snowdrops John. Even though surrounded by frost, they suggest that spring is not too far away

Re: EM1 mk2 sd cards

Having posted the above, I thought that I would put my money where my mouth is and ordered one yesterday morning. I selected the free (4 day) delivery option and was surprised when I received a text...

Re: EM1 mk2 sd cards

WEX are advertising 20% off all memory cards until the end of the month. That brings the Lexar 32GB 2000x Professional UHS-II SDHC down to about 64, which sounds quite good to me.

Re: Panasonic launch the G9 and 200mm f2.8 lens

DPReview have really put the cat among the pigeons by giving the G9 a Silver Award, despite it achieving the same overall score as the Gold Award E-M1 Mk2. Some of the Panasonic fans are incandescent...

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Eight Little Grebes were pottering about in the sunshine at Lake Lothing today, all of them rather distant. As usual they were extremely adept at diving just as I was about to press the shutter...

Re: EM1 mk2 sd cards

I only use 95 mbs cards in my E-M1 mk2 and have never encountered any problems but I rarely take more than 2-3 frames at a time with sequential shooting. I find it incredibly boring to sift through...

Re: Panasonic launch the G9 and 200mm f2.8 lens

I see the G9 is currently in stock at WEX and SRS. Has anyone here bought one or is going to buy one? Not for me, as my camera buying days are over, but I will be interested to see how it compares...

Re: Camera / Lens range as in distance...

I have seen some excellent digiscoped images recently, including flight shots. Quite a few people seem to be using m43 cameras, including the E-M1, which is probably easier and more successful than...

Re: Goldcrest

Well done Iain. They are tricky little blighters, always on the move and, as you say, usually in the most inaccessible places. I like the pose of this one. A good shot.

Re: Waxwings

Excellent shots of these beautiful birds Dave. There is still time for some to turn up but it has been a very poor autumn and winter for birds so far.

Even the hare looks a bit miffed about you 'only' getting second place. A cracking shot of a difficult subject Dave. Well done.

Re: Affinity Photo Special Offer

Have you watched the tutorial video Document/Image Resizing? It explains in some depth how to do it. I discovered that changing Resampling from Bilinear to Bicubic helped quite a lot.
