Re: And now 'Enter the Neon Cuckoo Bee'.

Had someone told us back in the 90's that film would be replaced by digital media with a capacity of over 7,000 RAW files and jpegs, we would have had them committed! I'm really enjoying having two...

Re: Nesting

No argument there, John. As you say, almost every Australian family own at least one dog or cat posing a menace to birders. I have to confine birding to weekdays when there are less dogs being...

Re: Nesting

Thanks John that seems clear enough.

Totally confused, such is the ambiguity of bloody words that flow off the pens of illiterates!
Initially my thought was to go with the EC-20 to extend the...

According to my research the M20 is not compatible with mft lenses.
As I wrote above, the EC-20 2x is the tc for the MFT 40-150, now available, $649.00

Re: Eastern Spinebill & Kangaroo Paw.

Ross, #3 gets my vote because it shows more breast detail, but nevertheless a nice set overall.

Re: Nesting

Yes Ross, centre weighted at f/4 doesn't work well on birds with my setup. Spot at f/5.6 seems to work better, f/6.3 better still.
I checked out the MC20 which according to info is only for 4/3rds...

Sorry Ross, do you mean far better, or useless on the M5 mk2. I'm already having focusing issues with CD-AF in some situations. I regret not going the extra mile for the M1 Mkii. Btw, im already on...

Collared Kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris)

This morning I went to a new location, about a mile further along the creek to where I usually go birding.
I was excited to find a collared Kingfisher, a much smaller bird than the Kookaburras...
