Re: Thinkning about returning to M43....

The 12-50 EZ lens is my walk around choice. I have 40 lenses ranging from dedicated M4/3 both automatic and manual focus, through 4/3 to older manual lenses, so often walk around with other lenses,...

Re: What is it with Olympus lens prices?

Wot Mark G sed.
In my other hobby, railway modelling, a main dealer in Japanese kit has just upped all prices by 20%!

Re: Parcel Force and 24 hour service?

Porcel Farce and Royally Fail are very poor compared to some other carriers.

I buy a lot of stuff, not just camera gear on the net and only Yodel are worse IMHO. The easy option of taking stuff to...

Re: Domestic electric heating?

Sadly THE tariff for 'Overnight' storage heaters is no more. I bought them back in the early 1990s and got Super Tariff from the then NEEB. This gave 5 hours overnight, between midnight and 7am, then...

Re: Pensions. Can I speak to a human please!

I got my letter while we were moving house and British Smellicon were deciding if they were ever going to reconnect us to a phone or internet. (56 days later they managed this seemingly Herculean...

Re: New Top Gear - thoughts?

I might watch Series 2 now that Evans is not going to be on. I gave up on Clarkson et al some time ago and hate Evans so avoided Series 1.

Hopefully they get someone with a personality not...

What did Samantha Cameron say to her husband as they walked back into #10 after his short resignation speech?

Re: Vote Leave

I'm just back from meeting some of our photo group. Of the four who admitted they voted Leave, three added:- 'But I never expected the result to be leave.' Two further went to say their vote was a...

Re: New Top Gear - thoughts?

I gave up on Top Gear several years ago when it became an ego trip for the presenters.

I detest Chris Evans even more than I detest Jeremy Clarkson, so won't be watching the new version.

Re: OM-D E-M1 Mkii

PDAF is a must before I'd buy. Without that the cameras I've got are good enough!

Mr HSBC will be pleased to hear this!

No knowledge of 3rd party chargers but with Ex-Pro and other 3rd party batteries I've noticed no difference in number of shots on any of my cameras.

+1 for BorisB's comments, with a rider that the price seemed steep when I bought the Olympus grip but it seems much better value now!

Re: Samyang 7.5mm Fisheye

Yes I own a Rokinon and the difference is merely in the badging. Aperture priority works a treat allowing you to vary EV as normal, but TTL metering means the image is usually correctly exposed. Set...

Re: Panasonic Leica 100-400mm F4-6.3

I'm saving already. I'd rather pinned my hopes on the Oly 300 f4 but at a lot less money the Pana 100-400 looks very tempting, as a wildlife photographer that extra reach is too tempting.

Re: Olympus reveals optically stabilised m.Zuiko 300mm f/4 telephoto

Gulp! Well the price rules it out for me for several years to come. The Canon, used at under 600 at the moment and a 325 METABONES Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Smart Adapter looks a...

Re: Is it only Olympus and Panasonic who make decent kit lenses?

Samyang and Voigtlander make excellent manual focus primes and the automatic Sigma ART lenses are excellent too.

Re: Sharpness

I too prefer my LSF JPEGs to anything I can produce from RAW. I keep being told I should use RAW but seemingly lack the skills to actually get anything I'm happy with from RAW.
